Fabrics from Charlenes of Jamestown

Craft Fabrics

Aren’t the fabrics lovely! smile_teeth

My husband and our son needed to go to Jamestown for farm supplies. Because I have been itching to check out Elaine Flower’s shop called Charlenes, With the help of my daughter-in-law (us girls have to stick together, wink), I did just that!

I honestly didn’t know what to expect. I can tell you right now, I will be tagging along from now on for those farm supplies from Jamestown in South Australia. The shop is packed full of patchwork, beading & Haberdashery. A crafters paradise.

The hand dyed fabrics on the right in the image above were purchased from Charlenes. The three burgundy tone on tones are just beautiful and I don’t even have to wash them; they have already been thoroughly washed! Hand dyed fabrics are made by Gail Simpson. I found the prices are the same as the website. The three on the left are also from Charlenes and would have been so easy to add more to the stash, but there is always another day.

By the way, if anyone is looking for blue craft fabrics, Charlenes is the place to go.

I'm well know in that little shop :D One of the reasons we moved here was the Quilt Shop. We had a list .. an hour to good shopping, a couple of hours to a city, under 5000 pop, greens ( the ones in Claire are green ;) A doctor, dentist and vet. And the most important was a fabric shop!
Hope you had a great holiday. Did you check out the new cafe Table47? .. very nice.

Wows so many comments! :D

Tracy I kept any eye out for you just in case you popped in while I was there and I was there a long time...chuckle. No we didn't check out the cafe but will take more notice next time.

Debs I can understand why your group visited, it has everything all under the one roof.

Clare I loved that piece with no idea what I am going to use it for. I purchased a metre just to make sure I had enough. ;)

Sally you must be joking; never enough material...chuckle

Jean & Needled Mom, Glad you like the fabrics. :D

Karen I don't have much tone on tone fabrics, hence wanting to stock up on them. Also I am working on an English Piecing quilt and some of this fabric may fit into the equation yet.
